Even though I didn't blog for the whole summer I still kept running and made it through my first Half Marathon! I felt really good the whole time and managed to increase my speed at the end. I felt so energetic afterwards that I decided to do the 3K with my nephew and then we spent the day walking around downtown. As if that wasn't enough I went to a wedding in the evening, wore heals and danced my feet off!
You're probably wondering how the heck I had all this energy after my first half marathon? Well the reason is that I was so afraid to overdo it and start out too fast and things like that so I kept a fairly slow pace and focused on getting myself over the finish line without having to walk at some point. So my time was 2:24 which isn't a great time but at least I did it and next time I'll definitely set a new PR :)
